COVID-19 update
March 26th, 2020 by Keisha Bhamra.
The team at Safe Ground are extremely saddened by the circumstances affecting the world and in particular, the ways in which so many people are being exposed to increasingly severe hardships and vulnerabilities as a result of global policies and long standing fiscal, social and commercial practices.
Whilst so much of the world as we know it is in crisis, it is important that we can continue to think, to create wherever possible and to work on finding ways to sustain the best of ourselves and each other. We are using this time to develop resources, ideas and practical mechanisms of support, as well as being able to support each other and ensure we can keep the organisation ready for re-entry.
Amongst the developments we are working on is a series of resources for people in prison and their families. The first in the series can be found
here: Please use and share as widely as you like. We will be adding more in the weeks ahead.
We are also working on a range of online and virtual support mechanisms, but these will require funding, so may not be available immediately.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any queries via email or by calling 07410440227 for general enquiries and 07410440226 for programmes.
