Filming ‘The View’ – A day of battling against the elements
December 3rd, 2012 by Dan Branigan.
An update from Sally Plumb on how filming ‘The View’ is coming along. This film was written by men at Wandsworth prison taking part in a creative writing course as part of our ‘Transitions’ programme and is now being filmed out in the community.
Keep an eye on our events page for our screenings in January!
Day two
Another early start today battling against the elements and holding umbrellas over the equipment and cameras to stop them from getting wet. Who said that film-making is glamorous! Today we are shooting the scenes of Albert peering through his window and Margaret berating him. We break for lunch and it is wonderful to see the cultural, social and age mix of cast and crew that we have. The final scene is shot in the rain with Albert’s arrest all enhancing the dramatic effect.
