Safe Ground - educating prisoners and young people at risk in the community through drama

SAFE GROUND GRADUATE PLACEMENT SCHEME
September 2009 - April 2011

Overview

Designed for high-calibre, motivated individuals committed to social change, the Safe Ground Apprenticeship Scheme 2009/11 is an exciting opportunity to join a leading voluntary sector organisation pioneering arts and education programs for the socially excluded and those at high risk.

The 18 month placement offers a keen school leaver or graduate the chance to gain a wide variety of key employment skills and to build a firm foundation for working in the voluntary sector.

This unique fast-track scheme provides an opportunity to be directly involved in informing policy on the provision of arts, drama and education in prisons and offers a front row seat in the development of innovative, ground-breaking work in this sector.

As a small charity, it's an opportunity to be fully immersed in every aspect of the work and make a real difference to the lives of those affected by prison and social exclusion.

Information on how to apply for this scheme will be available from February 2009.
