Safe Ground - Using drama to educate prisoners and young people at risk in the community

A bright and early start for the cast and crew of ‘The View’

An update from Sally Plumb on how filming ‘The View’ is coming along. This film was written by men at Wandsworth prison taking part in a creative writing course as part of our ‘Transitions’ programme and is now being filmed out in the community.

Day One – Interior cafe scene

A bright and early start for the cast and crew of ‘The View’. Today we are filming in the Victoria Cafe on Lavender Hill. We were filming the scene where Albert deceives Margaret by appearing to go to work when he is actually going to the cafe and meeting locals who all seem to know him well. Filming ended around 10pm with everybody feeling totally exhausted but pleased with the day’s work.
