Freedom and Expression

In July, Safe Ground were invited to participate in ‘Freedom and Expression’ at the Freeword Centre. This event was organised by the University of Essex Human Rights Centre and Essex Book Festival. To read an overview of the day please click here.

The afternoon saw Fundraising and Communications Director, Obinna Nwosu, present an overview of the GROUNDation Poetry Project. This was then rounded off with a reading of ‘In Wandsworth’ by Katherine Low Settlement participant, Gloria Case.

Safe Ground Alumni member, Gus, also gave a presentation about creating art under constraint. To hear both presentations please click on the sound clips below.
