On Saturday 29th November 2014 as part of Safe Ground’s GROUNDation Poetry Project spoken word artist and poet Kayo Chingonyi ,held a poetry workshop at South Thames College in Wandsworth for a mixed group of students and people from the local community. Here he tells us how the day went.
All the poetry workshops that are part of the GROUNDation Poetry Project will culminate in our end-of-project performance event GROUNDation II: Poetry, Power, People, where the participants from inside the prison and the outside in the local community will meet for the first time in a creative exchange, sharing the poetry they have created and engaging in challenging discussions.
